I am trying to fill Form I-130 & I-485 published on USCIS website.
Now when I am trying to fill my middle name which is 13 characters long, it lets me do that since the numbers of characters are less than the maximum limit, but when I am printing this filled form, only first 10 characters of my middle name are displayed (printed) and there is some '+' sign displayed at the bottom end of 10th character of my middle name.
I request you guys, to let me know if you have any idea how to get this resolved. Is there any setting changes I can make to print all 13 characters?

Thanks.

A highly technical question to ask here :). I know the answer:

Go to Tools | Advanced Editing | Forms | TextField tool.
Once you do that, you can expand /contract all textfields in the form( the form will appear RAW/clumsy). Once the expansion is done, save and open the doc again...you should be able to enter your 13 + chars easily in the form.

Enjoy !!

the form opens in acrobat reader, ans there are no such options of
Tools | Advanced Editing | Forms | TextField tool.

what SW u are talking about?

The fillable I-130 and I-485 have different options available when openend, at least when I try with Reader 7.0.

Here's another workaround: fill in the rest of the form, print it to image (Zan image printer is pretty good), or print it on paper and scan it back in; then import it as an image into a text editor such as MS word and place a text box there and fill it in.

Back in the days when I filled out my first H-1B, and fillable forms were a rarity on the INS website, that's how I filled in my whole H-1B... scanned blank forms and imported into MS Word.

Or do as Praetorian says and fill in with a pen ... or print it, place a sticky with typed text in the field, and copy it, whatever you like. You're the only one who will ever know how your writing was produced. USCIS won't come knockin' on your door asking for a perfectly filled in PDF file.
