I am in El Salvador waiting for my H1B visa approval but the school principal has told me that if I can't come to work October, 2,2006 She will rescind my job offer and open the position because this approval has taken too long.
I think that it is a matter of 2 or to three weeks to have everything ready.

What would you advise me to do? I do not want to loose this opportunity but it is not in my hands.

Now that there is barely 1 week left, there isn't much that can be done. Generally speaking, if you convert the application to Premium...the application is cleared in 15 days or earlier...they charge $1000.
Is your application directly from the school or thru a consulting co? If it's a consulting co., then it shouldn't be an issue as you can find another offer. But, if it's thru the school directly, then the only way out is requesting on the basis that the approval is in the hands of the govt. agency.
good luck.
