I am about to apply for naturalization.

1) Should I add the fees for Finger printing, though I have got it done (digitally) before during I485 (GC process).

2) Should I include all traffic violations in my application too (about 6 in last 5 years, 1) speeding - 1 incident, 2) not wearing seatbelt - 1 incident, 3) not carrying DL in person - 2 incidents, 5) improper lane usage - 1 incident, 6) accident - 1 incident ? I don't have documents for any. I was on probation for 3 months for being in a traffic accident. I went to court only once for the accident.

Thanks,

2) I would include all traffic violations. I am sure someone would say it is "no big deal". however, if it is no big deal, and the n400 form mentions to list ALL citation, you just have to list them.

remember, listing the traffic violations (non-DUI) will not hurt your citizenship application. Hiding the matterial fact (or aka lying) will cause your application denied.

Of course, you should add the fingerprinting fee. The naturalization process is totally separate from the I-485 process that you went through. So, be sure to add the $70.00 bio-metric fee.

Yes, you should definitely add fee for Fingerprinting. I had mine done for GC and then for N-400 also. I know that FP can expire after certain period of time. If you don't include the fee, they might ask for it after and it could delay the process.

Also, get documentation about your tickets. Better safe than sorry ... it's possible, inexpensive and for the next few months you won't be pressed for time.

I received my notice of action for N-400, it says receipt with exception? They would normally not cash the check for 390.00$ if they're was paperwork missing?

It states: The above application has been received by our office and is in process; but has been noted with one or more of the following exceptions;

Missing evidence(s) - your application was missing evidence(s) that you will need to provide at the time of your naturalization interview. You will be notified under seperate notice of the necessary evidence(s) that you will be required to bring to your interview. Do not submit any evidence(s) by mail.

What does this mean? I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this question.

Francois. :)

Timeline for Jacksonville, FLA

Sent N-400 application -- 9/19/05
Texas received application -- 9/20/05
Received NOA -- 9/30/05

N-400 application - Traffic Violations

That's normal. They use the same text for all receipt notices. No need to worry about it.
I have the same text on my receipt notice.

Thanks for the info... :)

After reading comments in this immigration forum, I've just realized that you have to list traffic violations in your N-400 application, which I did NOT do....Will this harm or deny my application ?

The 2 speeding tickets I got where from outside the United States, I know that my insurance co. knows of one incident, which may be on file in some government system.

I want to be honest about this, do you think bringing my driving transcript from Canada where the 2 driving infractions occured will help me during the interview? Or am I dead in water, if they have already run a check and have found that I forgot to mention my 2 speeding tickets on my application.

Maybe I should mail the driving record to Texas to add as evidence to support my N-400 application?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Francois :)
