I am working for company ‘A’ with my H1 B visa and company ‘B’ is processing my GC (for future employment). I filed my I 485 in May 2002, and I am still waiting for GC approval. Mean while I applied for my H1 B extension, but approved till August 2004 since my 6 years term will completes by august, I never applier for EAD.

My question is can I file for EAD now and use it in the company ‘A’ or do I have to file for my H1B extension (I am not sure they are going to extend my H1B).

Any help is appreciated
 
Apply for the EAD immediately. I think that you must work for the sponsoring employer (company B) with EAD. You can't use AC21 for future employment cases. That's my guess. You can make a decision after getting the EAD. strongly suggest you to join company B after getting EAD. Once your GC is approved, you can revert back to company A

Thanks, for suggestion, but one question, I heard that we can extend our H1B visa more then 6 years and the company is ready to extend, can I apply for extension and as well as EAD once I get them think about what to do.

What is you suggestion on this?
