PLEASE HELP: Want to move to EAD from H1B and how to extend I94.

My H1B-6 years term is completing on the March 10, 2006 and I have the I94 Valid up to March 20, 2006. I might not want to extend the H1B since my Wife's H1B is also expiring at the same time and her company may (??) not renew her H1B since she is on un-paid vacation for quite some time.

We are considering moving to EAD could one you please post the procedure for this and how to extend the I94 beyond current expiry.

You do not need to extend your I-94. You can stay in US as long as your I-485 is pending.
Inform to your employer about the using EAD.
If you wanted to travel outside US, you must have an AP.
Note: You can not change your status back to H1, once you use your EAD.
