Please help... very worried

Hey,

I am on an H1-B visa, valid until mid-May 2008. I am in the process of applying for a green card, just starting the whole process. My lawyer seems optimistic about the whole thing, but I am concerned about the time, as I have only until May to file the application.
I also understand that I can recapture time spent abroad (I have spent around 2-3 months abroad in the last 4.5 years) in order to extend my H1-B visa beyond the 6th year.
I just wanted to ask how long it takes (approximately) from beginning to the actual date of filing the PERM labot certification.

You must file your PERM between Last week of April - first week of Many 2007 to qulaify to extend your H1 beyond 6 year.

Do not delay start your Advt process right now.
