Please help, very stressed due to pending I-485 !!!!

My I-140 was approved 08/02. I filed my I-485 in 09/2002 and wife's in 05/2003. She received her first FP in 07/03 and I received FP notice in 9/04. In the meantime, I switched my job in related industry at almost same position. My attorney informed USCIS. No news after that.

In the start of Feb 2005, my wife received 2nd FP notice but website did not update but in the end of February 2005 this message was posted

"On February 10, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued"

I have few questions. First, what does this message mean? Does this mean I-485 approved or is it message for 2nd FP notice? My I-485 has been pending for almost 2 1/2 years. Is it normal? I am very concerned and stressed about this. Is it getting delayed because my wife's application was filed 8 months after mine? Do USCIS look for the last application and process it according to its date? or Is it due to my change of Job?

I still have very good terms with my my old company and they did not revoke I-140 and even we just recieved our EAD cards.

Please help, I would really appreciate it.

Is your PD is < 01-Mar-02? In March, they are processing only cases with PD < 03/01/2002.

Are you sure you are referring this message to I-485? Usually you see this message only on the AP (advance Parole) document.

Did you switch the job after 180 days from the 485 receipt? If so, you don't need to worry as long as you can produce the document with the job description matching the job description in labor. Also this delay is nothing to do with the 8 months gap between you and your wife's filing.

Don't worry. You are not the only one waiting for 2 1/2 years.

I looked into my I-485 receipt and there is no Priority date on it, same with my wife's application.

Yep, that message was dispalyed on her I-485 application.

PD will be found in I-140 approval notice. Since your I-140 approved in 08/02, I guess your PD will be < 01-Mar-02.
