Hi:
This is Roger. I have a strange question, so please help me in solving this issue regarding I-94 asap.
I landed in the US on Aug 11,1998 on an F1 visa, I got 123 (say) I-94 number at the port of entry which was in Minneapolis. Again when I was in school I left to India and returned back from my vacation on Jan 04, 2000 and the port of entry was Chicago and got a new I-94 card with 789(say) number. But the immigration office at the port of entry, wrote old number on this I-94 card which was good, since that remains unique for rest of my life.
Now when I applied for H1, the attorney assistant has typed my 2nd I-94 number 789 which was on the card, but overlooked my old I-94 number 123, and the INS accidentally issued me H1 with the 2nd I-94 number which is wrong. And my attorney is on a vacation right now.
Finally my question is I am attending an interview on Monday June 17 in US consulate at Mexico. Do I need to explain this situation to the immigration officer or to the port of entry authorities. I wouldn’t have gone to VISA on June 17,2002, but I have an emergency situation back home in India and I am leaving to India next weekend. So kindly suggest me what I should do with respect to this situation.
Thankingyou in anticipation.
Roger
