Please help: retrogression and new GC processing timeline

I need info about the impact of retrogression on a fresh GC case to be filed in future (after 1-2 years) and assuming that retrogression does not go away, what kind of timeline I am looking at?
For example if PERM is filed March 2007
I 140 filed June 2007 (assuming the same timeline for PERM and I-140 as it is now). Can I file I 140 and 485 together.
When will I be able to get EAD? AP? (can I get it before filing I 485?)
When can I change employer?
What happens to my H1 visa?
When can I file I 485 and when will I get GC...?
(I am physician from India doing residency)

I know that this are some very basic questions, but I could not find good answer to them anywhere...will highly appreciate any help, even just give me the link where i can find this info, would appreciate it...

You cannot file an EAD with a PERM application. A pending NIW 485 is needed for that. You cannot file that until dates are current.

You cannot file PERM 485 unless dates are current.

Your H1 is unaffected.

Before you are able to file a 485, the only way to switch employers will be to get a new H1 with another employer. It is difficult to switch jobs before 3 years, but it can be done in some limited circumstances.

That said, don't sweat. There is a fairly good chances that the retrogression will clear over the next year or so. Look at the past visa bulletins and you will see that this happens in cycles which rarely last more than one year.
