Please help... query on H1B extension

I have been reading this forum for about six months now and have seen a lot of people mentioning RFE's. I am a Canadian Citizen here on a TN visa, and I now realize that I too received an RFE about two years ago for a renewal on my status. I didn't realize this what it was at the time, but it too was a grocery list of items (nothing financial). After reading the RFE and my employer reviewing it we realized that it was a form letter written by someone illiterate. We had to have three people read one paragraph just so we could understand it. After thinking about it we just answered the question with simple answers.

One of the big questions was explaining how the position (scientific engineering technician) was related to the category being applied for and if there was a degreed engineer on staff (which there isn't). We simply explained how we deal with outside consulting engineers and how we take their set of specifications and turn them into something tangible - very straight forward.

So from my experience, we just answered the questions, told them the truth and that was the end of that.

We have since applied for an H1B and have to wait for the lottery. I haven't had to deal with any financial RFE, but it's a small company (about $ 500K per year in revenue with 5 employees), so I am concerned if they ask about this. Has anyone had any experience with the financial RFE's for small companies?
