Did you get any letter when they transferred your file from
VSC to NY,NY. Did they ask any questions in that.

I received yesterday letter from Garden city NY for 3 years returns 1722 from IRS.

do you mean that they asked the ins to send your 3 years tax file to them directly?

But the phone number for NY is incorrect. I called Vermont again and got the right number: (212) 264-5650.

My case is exactly like yours, my application is transferred to the NY office to schedule and conduct an interview.
 
I am in the same boat. This tel # is incorrect

I called VSC and mentioned that that (212) 206-6500 is incorrect so they gave me the right number (212) 264-5650 or 1-800-375-5283. My case was transferred from VSC to their NY office on Oct 28, 2001. I received a letter mentioning this plus the building address.
