Called up NSC for the first time yesterday evening. Automatic Message :

"Request for Waiver for Filing Fee has been granted". These types of cases are taking between 460 and 490 days.we will mail you a decision once a decisio has been made...."

It will be helpful if anyone can answer my questions.

What is Request for Waiver for Filing Fee?
How will it affect my case?

Any help will be appreciated.

I still think this not your case and you paied the FEEs...and you (or your lawyer) did not asked for a waiver...
and since you are EB applicant you probably are not qualified for that.
I still recommend to talk to an IIO...
_____
I did quick search for "INS Fee Waiver Policy "
and find out in situations in which an individual is unable to pay the fee for a particular service. the INS has discretion to waive any filing fee if the applicant can prove that he/she is
unable to pay the fee. INS might grant fee waiver......

I talked to IIO, she used my A# to give me my new Lin#. The phone # is (402) 323 7830. One word guys keep trying. You might get through any minute. some times 10 min and sometimes 30 min. Talking to IIO took another 10 to 15 min on hold. I hope it helps.
