Please help me with this question on H1 visa

My dear friends,

I am new to this form. Please pardon me if I posted this message at the wrong forum and would be nice if you could direct me to the right forum.

My sister, who is a US citizen, had filed an immigrant visa for me last year. We both understand that it is going to take years. Now I am thinking of filing an H1 visa. I am currently based in India.

Will there be any issues applying for H1 with an immigrant visa application pending?

Should I take any precautionary steps while applying for H1? Should I disclose about the immigrant visa application?

Please help me with your valuable recommendations. Anybody had similar exeprience? Please share your exprerience.

---She may have filed Immigration petition for you and it may take 10-12 years if you are born in India.

Now I am thinking of filing an H1 visa. I am currently based in India.
----US employer can file H1 petition for you. You cannot file H1 directly.

---Not a problem as H1, O1, P visa have dual intent

Do not worry you can apply for green card through family or H1B the immigration will not be resentful toward you about that . Just be honest and do not hide anything that's the key with the immigration here
