I applied for my RIR in march 05 and i want to switch to PERM now. can i still keep my priority date that way?
i know in this era of no visa number availibity it doesn't even matter but i want to clarify if it's at all possible to keep your priority date from RIR while transferring to PERM.
After that can i get my 140 approved and change jobs? or do i need to wait 6 months after 485 filing. Can i switch to another company, apply for a new LC but keep my old priority date based on 140 approval? what happens if my present company withdraws the i140? there has to be something that i can do to switch jobs.i am in my6th year of H1B.
thanks everybody for your help

if ur company revokes 140...then u have to file a new labor

ya i was saying what if you apply for a labor at company b and capture the priority date based on approved i140 from company a and apply for a new LC at company b. then can you switch safely after applying LC. If the employer a revokes 1140 after your LC application was filed at company b and you have exhausted your 6 years h1b are you screwed??
also what heppens to your priority date when transferring RIR to PERM?
THANKS
