Please HELP me....Query 7th year extention

My lawyer had applied for 7th year ext based on pending labor in NJ(more that 365 days),he had received a query,ie RFE, in that the they requested for

" A Letter from Dept. of Labor(properly authorized) affirming their receipt oa Labor Certification Application on or before at least 365 days prior to the expiration of the benificiary's 6 year h1b stay"

my lawyer got this a month ago, and he told he had requested the same from Labor dept. this is already 3 weeks back he requested, he still did not received any letter.

My question is Please let me know is it possible for such long delay in sending the letter by Labor dept. if so how many weeks will they take.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF SOME ONE HAS FACED THIS SITUATION

---Lawyer was supposed to file 7th year H1 ext with NJ SESA or SWA LC filing reciept

if so how many weeks will they take

----1-2 weeks or let him go to Trenton or call them

Can my employer can approach the Labor dept. or only lawyer should go.
