the three yares count from the date of the green card issuance, no matter if it's conditional or permenant card.

if you get your card today 7/13/06, you can apply-based on marrige-after three years from today 7/13/09 minus 90 days. so you can apply for N-400 at 4/13/09.

i'm in your same boat, get the conditional green card 7/2001, apllied for citizenship 6/2004.

Hope this will help you.

Date on your GC - plus tree years minus 90 days. Not the date you get it physically. Basically, the date it was issued, not received.

Actually, 3 years “from the date you became permanent resident ". On your green card it is shown as " resident since . Also make sure those dates are correct, it has been indicated by many that some GC's has wrong dates.

That's not entirely correct. The counter actually starts on the date the permanent resident case is approved. Green issuance happens many days after. This date is printed on the GC as "Resident Since:"

The above statement is true only if your Citizen spouse was a US citizen at the time of your GC. And of course this does not apply to you as you came here on K3.

Houstonian-tx, what are you talking about? K-3 visa is issued to spouses of US Citizens.
