Hello forum fellows,

Im new to this forum. I have a little question about migration date.
My Visa interview scheduled on December last week 2012. I have my final exam on March last week 2013.
Is it possible to do exam and then migrate? Exam also important for me, because its my final degree exam. I heard with in a 6 months after an interview we should migrate. Though March 28 within a 6 month (3 months), Is it enough time to settle down in US?(Like Before GC receive ,visa expire ).

How long will it take to receive GC?

Your English is fine. You can also go there just a for few days to activate your green card and then go back later when you are ready to migrate for good. I heard it usually takes less than a month to receive the card.
