my father recently e filed I-90 for renewal of his expiring green card. we received a biometrics notice and went to ASC for biometrics. At the time of biometrics the lady taking biometrics came and asked my dad that immigration has one question ie. if he had stayed outside the USA for one year or more since becoming a permanent resident. He replied that he has indeed stayed for over one year on 2 occasions and added that both times he had a Valid Re Entry Permit from immigration.
Lady replied Great. She then went back and made few entries into the computer and then came back and took my dads biometrics. After getting done i asked her if she has mentioned in her entry that his stay of one year or more outside the USA was with re entry permit. She said no and said she had already entered the information in the system.
My questions now are
1) Should I schedule an info pass appointment for my dad so he can go and tell an immigration officer that his stay over one year was with the re entry permit?? Or should i just wait till i get some response from USCIS.
2) Shouldn't Immigration have the re entry permit issued to my dad in their record?
3) What should he expect now ? Are they going to ask him evidence ( copy of re entry permit)?? Can they simply deny the application based on that one answer?
