I am currently on a temporary working visa (H1-B) and so is my wife. My daughter who is 3 year old is here on a dependent visa (H4). Her H4 visa and I-94 expired on Aug.15, 2001. I was under the impression that I should have a copy of my H1 before I apply for extenstion my daughter\'s visa but I learnt later that it is not correct. However, I got a copy of H1 visa only in October of 2001 and then I applied for extention in November 2001 but to date we haven\'t heard from INS. My question is will INS approve such cases or will she have to go out the country before 180 days from the date of expiration which is august 15, 2001. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
