I work on EAD and have Advance Parole. I am supposed to travel to Canada for few days on official work

Here are my questions:

a) I have an I-94 which I would need to surrender, however the Canadian immigration will not take it as my trip is less than 30 days. (Canadian immigration collects on behalf of INS)

b) How do I reenter. Do I need my advance parole and new I-94 card? Also, what happens to the old I-94 card that is expired and which I could not surrender to the Canadian immigration.

c) Also, do I need a letter from my employer?

Can someone please help me.

Thanks

badra E? or W?

i would suggest you talk to your lawyer as this is an official visit anyway (the company can pick up the tab if there is one)

also it never hurts to carry a letter. i carried a letter even when i visited india as it is additional proof besides all the the other documents.

Fly there

If you fly to canada, usually you can give your I-94 with your boarding pass and you will have to fill up new I-94 while returning back to US.
When you us EAD you are supposed to use AP. and they will stamp your AP with the validity date.

I am sure about flying, but you can confirm from the airlines if you fly.
