I got fired from my sponsoring company yesterday. It was about my 80th day after applying for I-485. What now? I have EAD approved and H1-B expires until mid-next year.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, or any experiences. I am going to a really hard time right now.

Dont worry

Change your job with a new employer, process H1 to be in the safer side. Since your case is not likely to get approved within 180 days there is no problem. If you change your address, file for address change with your service center. You will get your GC. But make sure your job description with your new company is same as your old job description.

can ex-employer mess my status

since I got fired and in bad terms, can my ex-employers contact INS to cancel my I-485 process?

But as per AC21 and the attorney murthy, I thought even if your emplyer withdraws

I-140 and 180 days have passed, it does not affetc you. Is this correct?

I know hoping4miracle case is less that 180 days. But just wanted to know if it was 180 days and emplyer withdraws I-140, will that affect you if you find a new job?

Also, I remember reading on some of the updates in attorney bulletin that 180 days counts

when INS takes an action on the withdrawal of the I-140. That is lets say in case of hoping4miracle, he got fired on 80th day, the compmany withdraws I-140 on 100th days and if the INS does not act on this withdrawal before 180 days, his status will be preserved. if the INS looks at the case lets say 190 days (which is very likely the way TSC works), your status will be preserved. Please do some research on this. I am very sure I read this somewhere most likely on attorney murthy bulletin. Offcourse different lawyers will give you different opinion on this.

I am looking to get hired by a new company next week

I am looking to get hired by a new company next week with the same position that I got fired yesterday. I am almost positive that my ex-employer will do anything to mess my status with INS, for this reason I worry since I am so close to the end of the process and starting all over is kindda discuraging. I hope that my papers get approved after the 180 days and that the ex-employer does not have a chance in messing my papers.
Thanks for all your help. Please keep giving me any advice or knowledge since I am feeling down at this moment.

but

i would still advice you to have a peaceful talk with him. it doesnot make sence to fight when ure so close to getting ur gc. is this a desi company

are all these discussions based on case not approved after 180 days? Some attorney said that

if change job before 180 days then the 485 will no longer be valid. Also, when change to new jobs before 180 days by using EAD, will that have any other consequences? What if EAD expires in one year, can we still renew the EAD based on old 485 petition from ex-employer? What\'s needed to renew EAD after 1 year?

What effect would letter from ex-employer have on my GC status

What potential effect would a letter from my ex-employer have on my I-485 Application?
I am still on my 80-something day after RD.
I have applied for a new H1B with new employer, but I am wondering if there might be a chance that TSC would approve the I-485 that is in the works with the ex-employer!! would this be possible????
Thanks for all your help

The petioning employer can send a letter ...

to withdraw the I-485 application to INS. Even if the letter is sent before 180 days of petition and INS does not act within 180 days on the withdrawal then you are covered by AC21. Otherwise the petitioning employer does have the authority to withdraw the application.

Another way employers can mess up ones application is if they claim you were fraudulent in your desire to work for their company after Green card. This is harder to prove but they can still try this tactic if they really did not like you.

what about new employer

I got another job and I am doing the whole process from the beginning.
Would my ex-employer have any saying on my new application?
