Please help: GC holder Got Married

I am on a GC, got I-485 approval in June 2001 (since 3 years and 7 months). I just got married. My wife is a H-1B visa holder. What is the best way for me to get her her Green Card?

Should I go ahead and file any papers to get her in a better position to obtain her Green Card?

Any help would be appreciated?

Check to see how long it takes to obtain Citizenship in your region of residence. Normally it takes 6-12 months. It seems that you are better off waiting until you become a US citizen to file.

If you file now, she has to maintain legal status on her own until she gets her PR. If you file after becoming a USC, she has to maintain legal status until then.

I've heard that if filing as a PR for immigration now and converting the file to that filed by a citizen (when you become one) would help you save some time. Check with a competent attorney.
