Please Help: GC Application with Own Business

Friends and Gurus:

I have got my GC in July 2002 through employment with my former employer. I had joined another company in March 2003. (After approximately 7.5 months). Currently, I am working towards my own company.

I have two questions,

a. Will there be any problem in my citizenship process due to quitting the employer after 7.5 months?

b. I am hoping to be self-employed (running my own business) in the next 1-2 years. So when I apply for citizenship, will it cause any problem? Because, my GC is employment based.
(Note: My job is IT related, but the would-be business is non IT related).

Please offer your thoughts.

a. It may cause an issue if you leave your employer too soon (normally within 6 months) after getting your green card. However, you should be ok since you stayed with them for 7.5 months after your approval.

b. I don't see any issue from an immigration standpoint.
 
N-400 Application work history/Own Business

I have a question related to your answer for #2 question,

In the N-400 application for citizenship, we need to complete the last 5 year work history. If I have my own business running, can I specify that?

Is it going to cause any problem?
