Hello,
Here's a weird case for you experts:
LC approved in February
Applied for the I-140 a couple of months ago
Received Notice of Action from BCIS Monday that indicates that the minimum education requirement in the ETA-750 is a bachelor's degree in the field of "Graphic Design/Art, Information" and because the beneficiary has a foreign degree an evaluation of formal education is required.
In the original ETA-750, the text field for the Major field of study did not show the actual text we had submitted completely. What is approved as "Graphic Design/Art, Information" is actually a list of "Graphic Design/Art, Information design, Industrial Design, Interior Design/Architecture, Multimedia Design". Because of the nature of the .pdf files, most of this text was cut off in the printout and was submitted unnoticed, and got approved!
Problem: I have a BS in Interior Design. And my education evaluation, even with my 10+ years of experience is not going to be enough for BCIS, like most people said on this forum, the experience does not work if there is a specific degree defined in the "major field of study" field.
Question 1: Is there any chance to recover this case? Obviously it's an unfortunate bureaucratic mistake. It's obvious because the term "Graphic design/art, Information" does not make sense as there's no such thing as "Information" as a field of study. The rest of the list is simply cut off.
Question 2: Was it wrong to have multiple entries in the "Major field of study" in the first place? So even if I can prove my case, will it still be denied?
Question 3: If this is going to be denied anyway what can I do next. Submit a corrected ETA750 and restart all over?
Thanks in advance.
