Hi,

I am in Chicago on the normal 3 month waiver. I have been offered a job sponsor (personal trainer). I have 2 months left on my waiver. Can someone please tell me if the quota is full or if my work visa (if applied for) can be processed within the 2 months?

Please help. Thanks, Justin

What is the "Normal 3 month waiver" (Visa Waiver Program?)? What Cap are you asking about? If H-1B, does a position as a personal trainer require a bachelor's degree? Do you have a bachelor's degree? If so, in what discipline?

If you entered under the Visa Waiver Program, you will be unable to change your status in any event without leaving the US.

Thanks Jim

Yes, I do mean the visa waver program.

I am asking about the cap for the h1-b visas. Personally training does not require a degree, but does require extensive studies. I did mine through the
Fitness Institute Of Australia. www.fia.com.au . Id say it os more like a diploma.

Is there any way at all this workplace that offered me can sponsor me?

And with the visa waiver, so I need to return to point of origin, or can I just go to canada and back to renew it for another 3 months?

Also, My grandfathers sister, who has been a US citizen since 1948 has offered to come to Chicago and go with me to the INS to see if theres anyway she can sponsor, or go guarantor, or any way she can help me be able to stay. Do you think her being a citizen would help my cause?

Sorry if these questions sound stupid, I really dont understand the immigration laws as I am new to this.

Please let me know of ANY ways I could possibly be able to stay.

Thanks alot for your help

desperate, J
