Please help ! Address change after filing for I-485

Hi,
My Notice Date for 485 filing is 12/2000. Got my Finger Printing done.
I plane to move from my current home to another place in the same
city.
1) Do I need to fill out and submit any INS forms for address change
so that my 485 process continues without problems?

2) OR can I go ahead with the move and assume any mail from INS
regarding the approval would get forwarded automatically to my new
address. Just want to know the risks of doing this.

I have read responses to similar question, suggesting a call to INS
(IIO) after sending INS some Address change form or something. The thing is I have never been successful in contacting an IIO (found the phone being busy throughout the day)ever.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
KRV

Try calling either early in the morning are around noon. You definitely need a redial phone. Just keep redialing until u get thru. Expect to be on hold for a while (could be 10 min or 2 hours depending on ur luck).

I am not sure about any form to submit for address change. But, I \'ve seen some discussion thread about calling IIO and updating the address over the phone. This is more effective.

By the way, even if you take chance at this stage. When ur application is approved. The avm will say "This application is approved..... if you do not get a response within 14 days please call an IIO for an address change".

I am saying this because my app just got approved, I received the letter today and the avm says the above stuff.

So u are the better judge for ur case.

Good luck.
