hi ya all,
need suggestion. we got married in dec 30th ,05. Now its time for filing taxes. i worked last year even after my workpermit expired(OPT). so what would be better for me , me and my wife to file joint tax or married but separate? whats the difference? if i file joint then it would appear in my wife's(sponsor's) tax transcript that i worked.Offcourse i am not gonna lie about working last year. I m concerned if it will affect my initial AOS process,since tax papers need to be sent by sponsor for affidivit support.i am not sure how to file it , either joint or separate taxes ??any ideas or experience you follks have on this one???will really appreciate it as always ...thanks
 
I can understand your concerns. Please ask this to a lawyer who is filing your case as well. This seems to be a small thing but sometimes it creates problem in the later stage when you get interview. So please ask this to a lawyer who is filing your case and who knows your case from each aspect.

thanks i appreciate ur reply, unfortunately i was not planning to hire a lawyer. so i dont know....how to find out information about that..
