Please dont use Fedex..i just spoke with my lawyer today.
For Fedex to deliver to PO BOX no, they need a person there.They dont put in the general area where the packet-3 should be going.Hence Fedex can end up screwing things for us.So please use USPS EXPRESS MAIL OR UPS..

Can FedEx be problematic when sending docs to NVC?

I used FedEx to send packet 3 docs to NVC(32 Rochester Ave).
After 15 working days they still didn\'t enter it in their computer.
So I asked them to look for it and faxed them the FedEx record of delivery and who signed for it.

Could this have screwed things up for me?
Is it better to send docs to a PO box there?

Gave them the FedEx tracking record

I sent my package on Marck 4th, via FedEx, they still haven\'t entered it.

I called them after 15 working days and faxed them the FedEx tracking record and they said they will search for it and will take another 10 working days before thay can give me a response.

Should I assume it is lost or will they actually look for it?
Does anyone have a similar experience?

Tracking id

They still didn\'t find mine.

I gave them the tracking id and faxed them the FedEx record.

Can they find it based on the tracking id?

I had a good experience with Fedex. I sent my P3 to mumbai on March 15th and it reached on March 18th.
 
my suggestion is request NVC whether u can resend the packet 3 to them ..

u can download the DS230 part 1 from the DOS website and can use a photocopy of the barcoded letter ...

They already have my packet 3, but asked for original birth certificates.
I sent them the originals and the FedEx package reached them.
The problem is that it seems to be lost inside NVC so I gave them the record of FedEx delivery and they are searching for it.

I hope they can find it!

Anyone else had such experience before?

why are they asking for original birth certificates??

They never did that for anyone.
I suppose every one just filled up the following.
DS230 PART1
bar coded letter
260$ fees.

Never heard that NVC asks for original BC ...this is something new ...

The list that Shanks has given is the right one and I guess cprnasrin experienced some other problem specific to his case!!

Guys don\'t panic....(mr/ms) cprnasrin\'s consulate is Montreal (I am not sure why he/she is not say

...send everything (I repeat everything..) first hand. NVC schedules interviews for them too....

As far as I am concerned, for those who will appear at any of the Indian consulates, NVC only needs DS-230 Part I... [mine has already been reviewed and sent to Chennai]... I hope this helps...

Montreal requires Birth certificates, but in general my question is about NVC loosing packages.
