Good job to get this info. When I called them yesterday too, I got the same answer. In fact, they are hopeful that all the pending cases of 01,02,03 will be approved...Someone must have made someone MAD at NSC by calling and they got this RUDE answer...Chill Out Guys...

I can't believe how some of these guys come to these conclusions.
Let me put this in perspective and ask people not to get paranoid.

1.The 7700 number was from Ombudsman's reply.
It just said that NSC processed that many in the first 11 days of June. Period.

2.This morning somebody posted they went to Infopass and was told by the IO there that the visa numbers are over which is obviously BS.

Somehow these two things got mixed up. Relax guys.
I know the system is crazy, It's just not crazy enough to process 30,40 thousand pending cases in a week or a month.

Best of luck to the rest of us,
EB3- PD - AUG2002 - RD - JUNE 2004.

I agree with you. Tomorrow will be our Day....

Approvals has dropped today.

Well if you do not like the message ... you do not beat up the messenger.
The guy who went to infopass .. simply wanted to tell us what he was told ...
Why do you call him BS?

[ May be the I/O might be wrong and lets hope so, but the pace of Approvals of 485 has dropped.]

disagree

I am not optimistic about the avaliable numbers.
1) Please check how the TSC trend is moving and also what happened to today's approvals?.
2) How many times does NSC agents gave us the correct information.
3) If they approve 2 or 3 visas per day then we are not looking from that point of view but are talking on mass approvals like the past 3 days.

From the above said points , I do not have much hope from today onwards.

This is my personal view . If another have different opinion, please let us know.

let me clear this up real fast.
I did not mean what the guy said in the forum was BS.
I meant what the officer at the infopass counter told him was BS.

Easy!!

Take it Easy..He thought the other way..just like your user name..Right Varma?

I agree they have plenty of visa numbers available but I fear they may run out of country quota specially for India.

Well, Visa bulletin is based on the predicted Visa Usage. It's not that there will be unlimited number of Visas available if the dates are current. If the alloted quota for a country is already exhausted then it doesn't matter if the dates are current or not.
I sincierly hope, they still have visas left, enough until September 2007. Since the same thing was told by IOs to two guys at different USCIS centers during InfoPass appointment, there may be some reality. Let's see if we see approvals tomorrow then we can say for sure that the Info was BSSSSS. :D

If a visa number is assigned when the officer picks up the case for final adjudication, then approvals coming tomorrow may not prove much.
What if the case took 2 days to work on ? Or a few IOs were just slow ?

The pace has slowed down (at least from the stuff reported here) .... lets just hope it is just a temporary slow down

There seems to be slow approvals.......but i hope tomorrow will be our day to get approved.

Country limits not enforced as every body is current.

Country quota should not kick in the last quarter as we have EB2/3 overflow from ROW to EB3 (India/China). Soft country limit in AC21 law.

There could be 2 things happening here.

1) Visa Numbers are unavailable for Indians any more

OR

2) NSC processed all the previously worked cases. Now
they have to pull and work on cases that are not worked
at all. I go with this because During the first couple
weeks of June there were no approvals. And then a flood
of approvals. Now there could be a week of no approvals
and then a flood again.

I think its too early to draw a conclusion
