Please clarify: Payment for son...

I've searched all over these forums and did not find an answer. I've already submitted my N-400 and I am about to submit my son's N-400.

Does he need to get a money order in his name or is it okay for me to send a personal check for him (my personal check)? I am concerned as the name on the check would obviously differ from the name on the application. He is over 18 but is away at college.

Thanks

Do you mean that my personal check will be okay? I already know that USCIS will accept a personal check for one's own application but what about me paying for my son's application?

You can enclose your check for kid's application. USCIS would be more than happy to accept it. No worry here.

Go ahead and use your personal check. The name matching thing is nothing. I've personally used my friends check, when I submitted my application. Just don't forget to write on the memo line:

-His full name and A#

They cashed it and that was that.
