I got my H1-B approved and stamped somewhere in April. Company "A" had sponcered my H1-B Visa. However I am still in India (havent yet entered US on this H1-B Visa).

Now,If i opt to switch to company "B" which is in the US and is ready to
sponcer my H1-B visa, what would be the procedure for getting my new
H1-B visa ?

:o - Can I enter US on my current H1-B visa (with employer "A", although I would not be working for employer "A" at that point), & then apply for a tranfer after coming to US and then start working with employer "B" after the transfer is approved? OR

:( - Do I have to go back to the consulate for a new H1-B visa stamp (with employer "B") before entering the US ? And if I have to go back to the consulate, is this a bad scenario where in my new Visa can get rejected?
Basically in my current situation, what would the best way to apply for a job in the US and work there on a new H1-B visa, if i intend to stop working for employer "A" for whom I already have my H1-B stamped on my passport?

Please answer this for me! It is lkind of time critical! Thanks!!

Is this your first ever H1B or you have had H1B before? Are you coming to US for the first time?

Yes this is my first H1-B .. I would be going to the US for the first time on H1 Visa.
--- in your above post in the thread you wrote that you got h1b earlier from A then how it can be your first time H1B?????

In that case it might be risky at port of entry to enter on H1B of employer A if you are not actually going to work for A. There is a minute change that the immigration officers at POE would try to contact A to confirm your employment. I would either wait for employer B's visa or wont tell employer A about B and enter US on A's visa and after entry, immediately join B. In the later case, you dont have to get B's visa stamped.

Of course, my advice is based on experience of my own or some other people I know. Please do not take decision based on my suggestion.

Thanks!
