Has anyone been approved under these conditions?

I am worried

if the salary offered in the new job is vastly different from the salary on the labor certification for no apparent reason, it may raise a question regarding whether the new job is really the "same or similar" job.

I have to join the client (no options here) I work for.
1. My salary is going to change from 70+ to 100+. (Nearly 50% increase in salary)
2. Also the title is going to change from software engg to Principal Engg.

Will this lead to trouble in case of an RFE?
Has any one been approved under same cicumstances??

How can INS expect the immigrant to get the same salary and be on the same position through out the tenure of GC!!

You have nothing to worry...

Unless your main area of work changes. Pls check my earlier postings.

A software professional getting 60k with the AOS pending...and starts selling soaps with a 100k will raise eyebrows.

But if you are still in the same profession there will not be any problems. If RFE comes accross there should not be any issues at all.

Salary is econdary thing, if you leave your sponsor before 180 days of filing I-485 then its a problem. If 180 dyas have passed then also it can be a problem if you left your sponsor for no good reason(like he was not paying or he fired you) and if you get an RFE or if your sponsor writes a letter to INS

should not be any problem. just keep the job duties same or more. salary / location does't matter,. So enjoy the raise.
