I am a Canadian Citizen working in US on a Green card. I am planning on marrying a girl, currently in the US on a visitor visa. Could you please advise me what options do I have to her status changed based on my immigrant status in the us? After change of status has been filed is she allowed to travel back and forth to her native country and the US? How soon would be allow to work in the US?
Please advise what forms I have to fill out to have her status changed from visitor to resident, plus permission to travel and for work permit?
Please advise.
Thank you in advance.

You, being a GC holder cannot file for your spouse (to be) to change her status right away, only the US Citizen's can do that. At this time you can file an I-130, after which you must wait for it's priority date (the notice date for your I-130) to become current. Once that happens, if she is still in the US, she can file I-485 to adjust her status along with I-765 for work authorization and I-131 to get travel approval (Advance Parole).

Filing I-130 alone will not give your spouse any legal immigrant/non-immigrant status, thus if she want's to stay here until then, she must maintain her own status. I-130 is just a petition to USCIS requesting a visa number for your spouse.

Hope this helps.
