Please advise: prevailing wage issue after 485 approval

Is the employer required to pay the prevailing wage after my 485 was approved? If the employer fails to do that, will it be a legal issue for either me or the employer? Will my greencard get invalidated in case the government finds out that I am paid much less than the prevailing wage? Will it be a problem at the time I apply for citizenship? Any one knows?

Thanks!

same situation here. after a recent re-negotiation of salary with the employer, we still couldnt settle for the ammount they (kinda) promissed when they obtained the LC. it's true that the prevailing wage was established back in the times when the economy was nice and dandy, and it probably reflects more than they would issue now. i have a pretty good relationship with my employer, and (although this may sound weird) i'm actually fine working for as much as they pay me now, at least for another while. but i wonder if this "status quo" is healthy enough for the next period of time, or is it gonna come back and bite me sometimes later.

any of you knows *if* and *how* USCIS or DOL follows up on the salary? is anybody here that can ask their HR if USCIS ever asked them for payrolls and stuff?...

If your employer fails to pay promised LC salary, most of the of the time your GC won't be affected. It can affect only when if USCIS finds any fraud involved in your GC process and you were a party of it.
