hello all,

Here is my situation, I am currently a conditional gc holder (2yrs), and I am living in state A(example), I recently got a job offer in state B ( I graduated from a college in state B and then marreid to my husband and now living in state A). I have been trying very hard to find a job in state A, but unfortunately, up to now I have not had any job offer so far. Instead, I got a offer in state B, but I am afraid of relocate. Should I accept the offer in state B? As I know that, after 2 year I have to show documents to waive my 2 yr gc. I want to accept the job offer in state B since I need money to have my surgery done. It just costs too much. we can not afford it. by the way, does the immigration will find out in the future if I work in state B? so if you guys can give any suggestions, I will be strongly appreciate. I know that a lot of you would ask me to stay in state A, but living in state A with 0 income, it is like a hell.

Its spreading!!! Posters were initially hiding their country of birth/citizenship. Now posters are hiding the state they live in :)

xyz2008,
Chaging states for employment is perhaps the most common reason people move within the US. As long as your marital relationship is intact, you should be fine. Good luck!!!

Lol! okay dear...you can say that you are living in CA and you want to get a job in AL...anyway...going to your question, isn't that much about immigration...you know.

I mean, you suppose to tell them where you move anyway...relocation is a personal choice. Look I know that and many people will tell you that immigration this and that...if your surgery is due to health issues you should never think about immigration first...health is first. You can manage to demostrate that you still are a in-marriage couple. Sooner or later one of you will visit and that will be part of your evidence, not only that...all those medical receipts and information is evidence as well to explain why you really (both) get more money. There are people who relocate because one will finish school in another city/state and job related issues.

That's my best advice...I guess.
