Hi all,

Please advice me... Came to US on 2000. On my SSN card, got my middle name as First Name (confusion from Indian passport). and so on my licence card also they entered my middle name + last name.

But all the other applications, (even h1b, tax papers, etc.) have got my correct first name and last name. Never had any issues with the different name on SSN. Even I got 140 cleared. And now we have applied for 485,EAD, AP with my first name and last name....

I am planning to go to Social Security office to correct my name on the card..

So my question,do they really check the name on my current SSN when they check appl. for 485???

Please advice...

It is not a big deal. Just have the SS office to amend the name for you.
Remember if you do it this way, please make sure your employer, driver license get changed too.
