hi guys

I applied for 140/485/EAD and AP concurrently. ND for all of 'em is 04/21/04. I got my EAD and AP approved on 07/02/04. Just waiting for my 140. I need to apply for an address change as i'm shifting to another place. But i'll be there only for six months. In this context..is it ok to give my friend's address instead?(they have a permanent address). But my friend's address belong to a different service centre.I'm not sure whether it really matters. will there be any problem during the FP stage? please suggest me what to do. Thanks

well, I filed my i-140/485 in Vermont. But my current address is Chicago. If your employer address is from VSC region, you do not need to worry about where you live. I never worked in VSC region, even though my employer is from VSC region.

Also I think you dont need to worry about your new address being temporary. It is alway better to give your address.

Fingerprinting Location

Hi Yampati,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Actually, I have another follow up question.
I heard that once 140 is cleared, the candidate is required to get
the finger printing done and that USCIS will send a notification regarding that.

Will that notice specify where to get the finger printing done ?
OR Can you go to any registered finger printing agency and get it done ?
ALSO, will that finger printing location be decided based on my address or the service center / employer's address ?

Thanks in Advance,

The fingerprint notice is being sent to location closer to your home address stated in the application. That will specify the location and date. However I have seen folks successfully completing fingerprint at other location (different from the one mentioned in the notice) and that too earlier (earlier than the date stated in the notice). Hope this helps.
