Pleas help.... how soon can i file for 485

i have a question about how soon can u file for 485 if your priority dates are current.
My PD is June 2002 and the April 2006 visa bulletin mentions the PDs moving to July 1 2002.
So can I file for 485 on 1st April or do I need to wait till April 30th.
Please advice.

Also it would be of great help to find out what all documents do I need to file 485. I have
worked here on my OPT after completing my Masters here. Any advice here would be very helpful.

You can file on April 1st, but you would be best to wait a day or two - if it arrives on March 31st it will be rejected.

Attach old I-185 to new I-140

Seeking guidance from Gurus for the following situation:

1)2004: EB3 I-140/I-485/EAD/AP concurrently applied(pd may 2001).
2)EAD/AP approved.
3)2004: I-140( and I-485 denied) for a2p.
4)2005 Jan: MTR applied- I-290B for I-140 and I-290A for I-485.Pending with AAO.
5)2005: Changed company and applied new EB3 I-140 (pd dec 2001).
6)2006: New I-140 approved.

Is it possible to attach/interfile the old I-485 to the newly approved I-140?
Will this revive the old EAD/AP and can it be renewed?

My H1 6 year is expiring and so the choice is to apply for 3 year H1 extension or try to get on to old EAD.

Any thoughts?
