plastic cards?

It seems like INS is issuing plastic cards faster these days. I remember seeing posts where people got plastic cards after 6 months, but now it seems like the wait is less than a month. Am i just hallucinating here or is it a fact?
 
well, it depends...

Some people fall through the cracks.
I am still waiting on VSC since the PP at Boston office in October.
A collegue of mine had his PP 3 weeks later in the same office and got his card already.
 
got stamped at POE(SFO) after CP, but getting the Welcome letter from Texas Service center

Letter says that you will recv card in 3 weeks
 
What was your Service Center, California Texas or something else..

Normally if you make an entry thru CP process in California or I-485 approved thru California and then Passport stamped at California, then should get the Plastic card also from California.

Anyone has the experience I am having, California POE entry & welcome letter from Texas Center

All CP people have their plastic GCs done in Texas. I had a POE in NY and my plastic came from TX.
 
What number to call to check the status of Plastic cards in this case (CP process)

What WAC or Alien # number to use....to enquire about the case
