Must have been delayed because of the hurricanes... Just joking!
 
Card Order

Where do you have to order for Physical Card? I did my pp stamping on 09-17-2004 at Memphis office. The lady told me it will take 1 year before I get my card. My status of INS website still show that my case is pending.
Please help.. :confused:
 
The ordering process is automatic. The local service center sends the filled I-89 to Texas Service Center. When they will process your I-89 (Form with the fingerprint) your status will change to "After we approved your case, we ordered your new card...". A couple of day later the message will change to "the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her...".

For me it took 2 months. For some much less and others much more.

Congratulation... The biggest step is done anyway!

Congrats ....can you tell me what's the validity of the Green Card (Plastic) that anyone received.

How do you know when the card was ordered?

My approved date is Sept 15
Passport stamped in New Orleans Sept 30

Just keep on checking your online status Or If you are registered online with automatic email trigger on, you will get email message whenever the status changes for your case.

I just received an email which says "After approving your case we have ordered new card..................

I got my pp stamped on 9-30-04.
 
When you go for stamping then they fill up the form (I-89) to order the card and send it to TSC. So what is the problem in getting the pp stamped. Secondly, sometimes it might take few months to get the card and during that period your temporary proof (pp stamp) is valid for travel/work.
