Plastic Card Tracker...Stamped location, date, VSC, waiting...

This is aVSC issue I think
I got my PP stamped in Newark NJ on 19th Mar\'02.
My son received his card in two weeks! When I called up INS in April, I was told that VSC had received all our I-89 forms from Newark NJ, in the first week of April.
My daughter received her card in end of April.
Myself and spouse received the card 1st week of June.
People who had got stamped in Newark much after me, received before or around the date I received my cards.
There does not seem to be any fixed rule here.

Your daughter does not need stamping
My two sons cards came within the said three weeks and did not stamp in passport. Stamping is only a temporary proof (valid for one year) but the card is the permanent document. However if you need stamping (you are anticipating travel soon or you are going to take your daughter along while going for stamping), then get her photo and the approval letter, and they will stamp in her passport also.

I received the cards for myself and wife today, 6/8/02. Had interview on 5/20. The card has validity from 5/20. No need to get the PP stamped anymore. I thank God for everything. Goodluck to everyone who is going thru the GC process. Finally I thank Mr. Rajiv Khanna for maintaining this excellent site. We have an amazing support group here. Its a goldmine of people\'s experiences.

We got stamped in SAN JOSE on 5/22 and still no info on cards ?

We got our approval letter on Tue. My daughter\'s letter is a welcome to US as permanent resident and also stats that she should be getting the card within three weeks. Does she not need stamping in her passport? Should we take her along with us to do the same?

My 5 yr old daughter\'s card was sent to my old address and was
issued on 05/07 (Before stamping it self) with in a week of approval.
I have a question if any one can help,
My spouse name had a single letter misspelled in the middle.
We corrected it by calling IIO, IIO said that it takes few
weeks to send an ammended I-485 approval.
But now the card came and is having the same mistake.
Please advice what is the best way to get it corrected.
How long usually it takes for corrections, What is the procedure.
If any one faced the same please advice.
