If salary his higher go for it. Do not cut your salary. It is OK as long as location is in US.

----> Not necessary though it would help.

2)Job description should be exactly same!!??

---> Should be similar though need not be exactly same. No 2 companies can have the exactly same job description so a few differences are ok. Please post your new/old job desc for more specific comments.

3) salry should be same!!?

---> 15-20% difference is ok. Make sure that new salary is not < prevailing wage for your job code. You can check it online at onet.

4)I am joining new company in GA but my original GC copmany in in MI..is it ok!!?

---> Yup. And btw, GA rocks! ;-)

goodluck!

with the old desc i want to add one or 2 words like cognos, sql server 2000 some thing like that ...is it ok.

----> that should be allright

----> should not be an issue - I am yet to see someone who got their 485 rejected as their salary was too high. Go to onet.org and see the salary range for your job code in your region. Even if you are amongst the top 10%, you should be fine. The only time high salary can be a problem is if it is so high that CIS believes you are not doing the same job anymore (example: a DBA making $200k/yr - he/she obviously is not a dba anymore and is more like a CIO)

goodluck!

120k could possibly be trouble - it is almost double of your LC. I would say go ahead and take the offer as it is such a good opportunity. Hire an ace lawyer - don't hesitate in spending some money to protect what you are making. Btw, you can talk with Khanna/Murthy etc for 150 bucks or so - they can review your exact LC job desc and new job desc, along with salaries, and provide specific advise.

goodluck and congrats on your career move.

AB...Sure...thanks for ur sugg budy!!
but the 100K-120K offer is in CA...I think location wise it may ok right!!?
hey.. r u guys anyone already used AC21!!?

check the second sticky thread on this forum.
Even if it is 120k then i don';t hink it is a problem. i changed jobs in the same state and my new salary is 80 % more than what is stated int he LC. got approved on 12/03/2004

You are correct - CA has higher "prevailing wages". You can check the prevailing wages for your job code here: http://online.onetcenter.org

Bottomline - if your income is even in the top 10% of your job desc for your state, you should be good. If you are crazily (say 100%) over the top bracket for your job desc in your state, you could be in trouble and need an ace attorney.
