Planning to marry in US and live in UK - K1 or B2 visa?

I am planning to visit the US next year with my US Citizen fiancee to get married. I have heard conflicting advice. The main issue I can see is that I plan to go out in January but not get married until April. For this reason I was looking at the B2 visitor visa as I believe I would have to get married within 90 days if I go out on a K1 - Fiance Visa. I have heard that this is fraud if you use a B2 visa with the intent to marry. Does this still apply if I have no intent to immigrate to the US? We are both planning to return to the UK after getting married to live and work for a year before going abroad to live in Asia.

Thanks for any advice you can provide to me. I really want to make sure I do everything by the book and explore the various options to make sure I don't have any problems.

A K1 is only needed should you wish to stay in the US and AOS to Green Card holder. What you are doing, entering the US on a tourist visa, marrying, and then returning back to the UK is perfectly fine.

One thing you might have a problem with though is actually obtaining a B visa. If you are a UK citizen of working age, then the success rates of obtaining a B visa is significantly low due to already being able to travel visa free using the VWP for 90 days.
