Hi Guys, does anyone know what are the documents required for EAD Renewal and Advance Parole ( as I would be applying for AP for the first time) - Also, can they be applied by one directly, meaning without the lawyer coming into the picture? Pl help/advise.

Yes.One can file AP and EAD on their own saving time and money.
For AP, you need to write a letter explaining the need which is basically an urgent reason to leave immediately...And as long as your I485 is pending, you are already allowed to apply for a AP.
Make sure you enclose 2 ADIT photos,I94, Copy of I485 receipt, Letter along with the required form. Dont forget the cheque(its not $65...its 110.00)

EAD is also very simple..Enclose a copy of I485 reciept, 2 ADIT style pp photos.No letter required...

It is not hard!

I almost forget what were required, at least two things:
1. photos
2. copy of your last EAC card,
3. slip from notice together with EAC card, which may save time for processing.
4. fee.

There are some other requirements, there is a website with detailed info, I am sorry I can not remember them all. I did my renewal last Sep, it took about 3 weeks to get the new one, and I did not expect to receive it so quickly.
