pissed off by the lawyer

I sent email to my lawyer trying to find out whether she could do sth. to speed up my case, because my I485 has been pending over 600 days and INS has received my reponses to RFE for 3 months. can you imagine what happened? she reported to her boss and blamed me for sending frequent emails(sent her an email last week regarding security check) to interrupt her because she has more important things to do. :mad:mad:
her boss asked me to wait for another month then contact them if there is still no decision made, what should I do? that is not the attitude I expect to get from the lawyer.

ACTION TIME

BE prompt and talk to your company and ask immigration specialist of your company to talk to her. They are your employees in a sense that you hired them to do a job for you, this attitude is stupid. Or at least talk to her Boss and tell her how sick you feel.

Work With Your Senator

Contact both of your state Senators offices. One of them is certain to respond (you should only work with one Senators office though). Work with them they will make a direct inquiry with the BCIS congressional liason at the Service Center.

This is a no risk option, you have been waiting 600 days, it is not unreasonable to expect an answer. You do not need to inform you lawyer or employer about this. The I-485 is your petition.

how do I pick

which senator's office to work with? should I call them or send them letters?

my company didn't assign this lawyer to me, I chose this law firm myself.:( and I don't know what she said to her boss, but he is on her side this time:mad:

Hi Man,
There was a very good thread few weeks ago in which people discussed about the senators sympathetic to immigrants and people took help from. You can find out this info from the link, I will try to find and post it here.

Which state u are in ?
Bye

thanks, slave_untill_gc

I am in OHIO, are ohio senators any good? I did contact congress man though, not much help, do you think senator will make a difference?

Are senators help full.

I never contacted one but I can not imagine how would they be of any help besides contacting BCIS and telling you basically what you can find from the web?

I have never heared if any one tried to go to Lincoln, Nebraska and talk to IIOs there in person and see what effect that makes ?

contact both senators from ohio. they have a vested interest in helping you. write to them so that they have the option to respond to your query officially on writing. it's easier to forget a phone call than it is a letter. also an official response from a senator's office gives you the right to follow up after a reasonable amount of time.
