PIO or OCI or tourist visa

My wife needs to travel to India in end of Nov. I think if we apply OCI now (to Houston), it might not arrive on time. So, should we apply PIO for her and then convert it to OCI afterwords... What are the impacts of applying for tourist visa now and then apply for OCI afterwords. The +ve on the tourist visa is that it is not expensive but i noticed they ask you to sign a renunciation form when applying for tourist visa. How does it affect in the future when you applying for OCI?

I am thinking of applying OCI for myself. In what way it would affect getting federal/state government contracts?

There are No affects of applying for a Visitor visa now and then an OCI later. OCI should also not affect jobs. You have close to 3 months for the PIO. That seems to be enough time....

Which is better applying PIO or Tourist visa for now. (I think tourist visa is economical but not sure about the implications of signing a renunciation form with the tourist visa. That is why i am applying for PIO card).

I don't know what renunciation or its implications you are talking about. There would be no issues if you apply and get tourist visa now and later apply for OCI (or even PIO, for that matter).
