Hi:
My friend's sister in law is getting physically and mentally tortured by her husband and she is finding it very difficult to continue in her marriage and she feels and we all feel that she'll be better off after divorcing this guy.
She is a homemaker and has a Green Card with her husband being the primary applicant through Employment.
My question is will divorce invalidate her Green Card and subsequent citizenship or can she divorce and still maintain her Green Card and continue to stay in the US.
She has valid grounds for divorce because of domestic cruelty by her husband.
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance
