Photos with Eyeglasses?

I am working towards my interview in Montreal, and have a question about the GC photos. There are no specific instructions pertaining to the wearing of eyeglasses in the photo. Can they be worn, or should they be removed? Does anyone have any insight (pardon the pun) on this issue?

Applicant should not wear eye glasses, hats, ear rings etc...

for immigration photos. I think these are mentioned on immiration forms some where.
Background and size of the photos is also important.
