Photos for interview

Will be going for interview on Jan 22. I have prepared everything like lease, utility bills, and all that. But we don't have any photos. Do you really need to have photos? Or will it be ok to go to the interview without them?

No photos? Why not? You don't even have wedding photos? Do you believe the camera will steal your soul or something? ;)

That said, seriously, I took photos to my interview and the interviewer wasn't interested in them. "They can be staged!" she told me, dismissing my offer with a flick of the wrist.

What a nice lady!

I think it's better to have at least some photos. Maybe you can try to take some, you still have time! :)

Well you just suggested they take some photos just for the interview, what about that isn't staged? Agreed though, almost all the paperwork you give to the interviewer can be easily forged. Its more your demeanor that they should go on.

In my experience, it is always better to take pics with you and spouse, plus other friends and relatives. My interviewer asked me about other ppl in the pics. She asked my wife to identify my father and mother.

My IO did not even look at our photo album, but it is really odd not to have any pictures of oneself and spouse

Dr.... taking pics for interview is not "staged". It is simply providing USCIS with proof of "whatever" :D . I would think staging something somewhat different, eh?

Kasonde, this is the holiday season. It would be nice for the years to come to take pics and then you can look back when you are so old you can hardly see them or remember :p . You should 'prepare' not 'stage' ;) everything that they request and more in case you get the IO who got a 'vendetta' :o : Better safe than sorry. Best wishes!!

My reason for saying "staged" is not because I'm implying the marriage isn't real, but because they're only taking pictures for USCIS benefit.

I'm with you in being completely mystified as to how a new couple could have *no* photos of themselves though.
