Photo validator on dvlottery site doesn't check the composition of your photo

With your attitude I am guessing your true identity will be revealed in about 5 posts.

We'll see. When I ask for help on this forum next time under new identity and you'll be the one responding, I'll let you know in the end :)

If you don't learn the due lesson here, rest assured you will learn it in real life, alas, harder!

I'm done.

Come on guys !

There was nothing wrong with Aledo's question.

The "dirty tricks" phrase and a smiley at the end was meant to be joke.

You guys have such a bad sense of humor.

Please grow up guys !

Well I will try to answer your question.

Well basically, as I understand it, there are three requirements for a photo to be acceptable. First, it has to pass through the photo validator system. Where it is checked for its size, whether it is 24 bit, whether it is a JPEG file and whether it is a 600 pixels X 600 pixels. If the photo meets these basic requirements then it passes the photo validator step. Next comes the compositional requirements. By which I mean that head of the photo should be straight not tilted to one side. The head size, defined as the area between the top of head and the chin should be between 55% and 69 % of the total size of the photo. Also the eye level, defined as the area between the bottom of the photo and the level of corner of the eye should be at the max 69% of the total area of the photo. Thirdly, the photo must be recent, which is defined as being taken at the max six months before the date of applying.

Although I don’t work and have never worked for KCC, I infer from the other posts in this discussion forum that once the photo passes the photo validator step then it is most probably accepted. This is mainly because the compositional parts like the head size and the eye level has to be determined manually. There is no software present currently that will give the head size or the eye level of the photo. It has to be done by hand by a person most probably by the help of a ruler and a calculator.

Hope that helps.

I was wondering what happened to Pitbull.

Pitbull is locked and chained in my basement. I remember that during our first torture session I was surprised by how unmoved he was while having his fingernails pulled. So I confronted him about this. He gave me this wild look of a man who looked in the abyss and asked me 'Do you know what being anal means?' I replied 'Yeah sure, I've met quite a few tightasses in my life' He laughed and said 'No you don't understand I'm talking about kind of people who sound like they take a daily bath in a molten core of anal energy reactor, who'll go at you as if you insulted their mother when you only made an innocent joke completely irrelevant to their persona, THAT kind of folk' He then went to tell me specific examples of his conversations and when I was able to finally regain my self I told him 'It's all nothing but a fantasy of your sick mind Pitbull, you only told me that to delay hooking' he replied 'Whatever Aledo, the more physical pain you give me the better, it only distracts me form greater mental pain of my forever poisoned memory'...

I almost forgot all about his stories untill today

Well it's my understanding that such software actually exists. Some form of it is the link above by c1984, another type of it I saw on russian us imigration forum. So it's not something that is impossible to expect from a validator imo. I can see how somebody may be easily decieved the way I was given that 1. the description above 'photo validator' button on main page says 'Before beginning the entry process, you can verify that your picture(s) comply with all requirements by clicking the link below' 2. they don't say what the check is for, and 3. if your photo checks out the message is 'your photo is valid' not something like 'your photo conforms with size/depth requirements'

BTW During my previous year entry I was under similar impression, I remember even thinking 'with such a convenient tool they don't even need all those photo examples' :)
